The Salmon Way: An Alaska State of Mind
Amy Gulick is an award-winning nature photographer and writer. She will present a slideshow of images from her new book and share her experiences exploring, documenting, and celebrating the relationships between Alaskans and salmon. Her images and stories have been featured in Outdoor Photographer, National Wildlife, Audubon, Sierra, and other publications. Her books are Salmon in the Trees: Life in Alaska’s Tongass Rainforest and the new The Salmon Way: An Alaska State of Mind.

Performance Piece - The “of relation” works

A one-night showing of a modified version of the performance of relation, originally held at the 4th Avenue Market Place in Anchorage, Alaska. of relation is a progressive performance presenting the experience of relationship through three vignettes; the relationship to the self, to the other(familial), and to the partner(romantic). The performance features movement, wearable and fiber art, dance, large scale installation, and sound. Tickets are limited due to the size and intimacy of the work.
