Bunnell Street Arts Gallery in September will present Erin Ggaadimits Ivalu Gingrich The Allaŋŋuq (Change) project will create a new body of work and online exhibition centered around the concepts of change, adaptation and transformation in the natural world/environment/wild relatives/beings here in Alaska as represented by carved, painted and beaded mask/ sculptural forms. Featuring dual representations and transformations, some of the beings and their processes of transformation include Sandhill cranes, Berries, Salmon, Seals, Arctic Fox, Ptarmigan, weasel, Caribou, Tundra moths/butterfly, long tailed duck, and snowshoe hare. Visiting Polish artists Jolanta Surma (macramé) and Tadeusz Pieta (basketmaking) will display their work in a gallery exhibit at Homer Art & Frame in September. Jolanta is an award-winning expert in the field of artistic weaving. A worldwide exhibitor, Tadeusz has 20 years experience as a basket artist specializing in willow. Pratt Museum & Park![]() On exhibit in the Pratt Museum's downstairs gallery during the Alaska World Arts Festival is Universal Connections: Experiences Bringing Us Together, a mix of photographs from around the world curated by Sarah Borgen. Explore the art, culture, and science of the Kachemak Bay region at the award-winning Pratt Museum and Park. Special and permanent exhibits, historic Harrington Cabin, botanic gardens, and forest trails. Located at 3779 Bartlett Street in the heart of Homer. This exhibit is curated by Sarah Borgen. This exceptional art gallery has existed in Homer, Alaska on Pioneer Avenue since 1984.
